Christmas Fail!

I'm mad. But not so mad that I can't laugh at myself!

I was an overzealous Christmas decorator this year. With the quarantine and everything going on - decorating seemed one way to lift the spirits - both mine and my family's. I poured through catalogues, and dreamed of the grandest decorations possible. In particular, I longed for these oversized lawn decorations from Grandin Road - massive Christmas ornaments! But things went a bit awry.

Actually, it was quite hilarious. The whole family had a laugh when I told them about the ordering process and how mad I was that they had not arrived. Everyone was wondering where the massive Christmas balls had gone!

I know I should I have been more careful. But I figured there was an off off chance that it could be legit - and I was willing to risk the capital to see if the experiment would work.

I guess the moral of the story is, listen to your instincts. And be careful when you believe that you might not be buying in the United States, or make sure to buy from Amazon that holds international sellers accountable.

My instincts told me that it was dicey, and I knew that it was not a US company. So despite my better judgment, I invested in a plastic blow up Christmas ornament for 139.00. Honestly.

So here's a consumer warning. Do not buy from Seeyoustore. Do not buy from any company that has an email of funpinpin.com OR untilhealthy@funpinpin.com. I don't know why I'm telling you this. I bet you already knew that. I should have known that too! It just shows you what a devoted outdoor garden decorator I am! My enthusiasm ran away with my reason!

Nonetheless, if that's the worst thing that happened over the holidays, I consider myself a very lucky girl. And it could just be that the laugh was worth it!

P.S. After Robert blew up the massive Christmas ornament, he asked me, "How much did you pay for this again?" I think he was not quite as sanguine about it as I thought. Tonight: Sloppy Joes for dinner. His favorite meal!
